Establishment of walking paths toMemorialize fallen local soldiers

The Jewish Federation of Rochester has generously forwarded an earmarked donation for the establishment of walking paths named for Modiin’s fallen soldiers in the Irons Swords war. Each family chose among a selection of locations around the city, according to their soldier’s personal story, neighborhood & places in town of childhood significance .

Education Bridge is an original Partnership project that has continued, grown and developed over the course of this Partnership’s ten years of existence.

Today we maintain mutual ties between schools, teachers and students from both sides of the ocean which strengthen Jewish identity in both communities.

Who is the program suitable for?

  • Elementary and elementary schools that establish contact with the schools in Rochester, (Jewish and public).

What does the program include?

A connection between the schools that is reflected in the construction of a joint program, based on common issues determined by the teams on both sides,

Annual activity according to the plan established in order to establish contact between teachers, students and school communities.

As part of the activity, once a year a delegation of teachers from Modi'in goes to Rochester and a delegation of teachers from Rochester to Modi'in.

The program takes place every year throughout the year.

Noa: I've been a coordinator of the partnership between Cramim school and Temple Beth El for the past 8 years. I've been in Rochester twice with the delegation. Throughout those years, I've gained friends and family who are my home away from home, found a common dream, and fell in love with the partnership. I invite you all to take part in this amazing opportunity to connect with people, places, and hearts.

I joined the project 13 years ago and since then I am the coordinator of the project in my school "Asif". To begin with, on a personal level, this project has become a part of me and my family's life. I flew to Rochester with the delegation twice and made so many dear friends. I learned so much about the warm Jewish community and the educational system in the USA. I hosted so many people from the partnership and was so proud to show them my beautiful country. As a teacher I have the honor of making my students "young ambassadors" of Israel. I teach 5th and 6th graders and they are very excited to have friends from Thornel. We have many joined projects together and they get to tell them about their family, their school, and their country. Liat
