Partnership2Gether is a central, nationwide platform of the Jewish Agency that connects 400 Jewish communities around the world and 46 cities and partner communities in Israel.

The communities on both sides of the sea, together promote educational and social projects and deepen the ties between Diaspora Jews and Israel.

The Rochester-Modi’in Partnership started in 2003 and is run mainly by volunteers from among the residents of Modi’in and Rochester. The partnership aims to lead activities that will deepen the sense of belonging of all its practitioners to the Jewish people and the State of Israel, to strengthen and develop Jewish communities in Modi’in and Rochester by creating meaningful commitment and connections between community members, based on mutual action and connection to a common Jewish identity.

The ties between the two communities are warm and strong and are based on people-to-people ties, on respect for trust and reciprocity while respecting all the currents and shades of Judaism.

Our programs are aimed at different audiences including, teens, students, educators, alumni and have created many personal relationships that continue to exist over the years and every year new relationships are formed.

Our programs are open to the participation of all city residents. The Steering Committee of the partnership meets once a month for the purpose of defining, managing and promoting various projects and maintains close ties throughout the year with the corresponding committee in Rochester.

Once a year, frontal meetings are held for joint discussions on joint work plans and budgets. The meetings are held in Rochester, New York, and Modi’in alternately. The committee examines existing projects and decides on new ones in light of the goals of the partnership. The main programs run by the partnership are: Educational Bridge, Students’ Exchange, Journey for Identity, Ramim, Shinshinim.
