Establishment of walking paths toMemorialize fallen local soldiers
The Jewish Federation of Rochester has generously forwarded an earmarked donation for the establishment of walking paths named for Modiin’s fallen soldiers in the Irons Swords war.
Each family chose among a selection of locations around the city, according to their soldier’s personal story, neighborhood & places in town of childhood significance .
As part of the memorial day, The students of MOR school, met few of the families of the fallen soldiers at the relevant memorial lanes. They visited Liran Almosnino ZL lane, Itay Perry ZL lane, Eden Nimri ZL lane and Gal Mishaelov ZL lane. Each class met a different family, learned about the soldier life and the way they died and light a candle near the memorial stone. Then the students had a conversation related to the current situation.
